KELLY | VP OF PROGRAMS ABOC/CPO

Kelly is our VP of Programs! She’s been working in optics for 20 years and is certified as both an optician and paraoptometric. In addition to being the inspiration behind Eye Promise, she started a program at CCCF and taught opticianry and paraoptometric education to incarcerated ladies so they can obtain a livable wage job. She’s always got her eye out for opportunities to make Eye Promise bigger and better.  She’s passionate about vision being a right, not a privilege, but it’s certainly a privilege to have her fighting for those who need assistance! She absolutely loves helping people acquire glasses, select frames, and of course, holds her team in high esteem.

For fun, Kelly loves to spend time with her husband and two daughters. Photography is a prominent part of her life, and at home you might find her gardening and growing dahlias.

 

KATIE | OPTICAL DIRECTOR ABOC/CPOA

Katie is our superstar Optical Director! She’s been working in the field since 2010 and is hard to stump! She keeps Eye Promise running smoothly. While she’s gracefully tackling all of the shop’s challenges behind the scenes, she’s also creating valuable customer experiences when she sells and dispenses glasses. On the charitable side of our business, she takes care of the outreach to our partnering optometrists and Lion Clubs statewide. For her, the best part of coming to work every day is knowing that she gets to hang out with her second family.

Katie is mom to her two boys, Greylon and Everett. When she’s not chasing kids around, she loves to thrift shop! Other hobbies include camping in the woods with her family, kayaking and lounging around.

 

EDWARD | OPTICAL MANAGER

Meet Edward, an experienced optical manager with over 7 years in the industry, who is passionate about the perfect blend of style and functionality. Originally from the sunny shores of Miami, Florida, Edward has called Oregon home for the past 14 years, where he enjoys hiking and immersing himself in the beauty of nature. His enthusiasm for frames and the functionality of lenses drives him to help others find the ideal eyewear that suits their lifestyle and enhances their vision.

Family is at the heart of everything he does, and he treasures every moment spent with his loved ones. As a proud father to his adventurous toddler, Orion, Edward dreams of a future where his son follows in his footsteps to become a fantastic optician. With a warm personality and a dedication to both his profession and family, Edward brings a unique blend of expertise and enthusiasm to the optical world!

 

TRACY | OPTICIAN & LERC MANAGER ABOC

Tracy is a certified optician extraordinaire! She’s been expanding her expertise in the optical field since 2011. You'll find her in our lab edging lenses on a daily basis. She also is the Manager of the Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center. Tracy isn’t afraid to give her honest opinion and she’ll always be able to make you smile. Her passion lies in serving others, especially when it comes to enhancing vision and watching her clients’ faces light up in joy upon receiving their new pair of glasses. She’s truly at home among a team driven to assisting those in need.

Away from the lab, Tracy enjoys NFL football (Go Vikings!). She has a soft spot for animals and a fondness for ice cream!

 

VOYCETTA | OPTICIAN ABOC/CPO

Voycetta has been in optics since 2017. She is dual certified as a Certified Paraoptometric and Optician through the American Board of Opticianry.

Voycetta loves working with people and giving them the gift of sight. She is a very outgoing person and loves to make others happy. She has a real passion when it comes to working with the customers and being able to put a smile on their face. She also enjoys edging glasses in our very own finishing lab!

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her children and fiance. She also loves to cook, write poetry, and do hair.

 

KAITLIN | OPTICIAN

Kaitlin has been working for the Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation since 2013! She has recently decided to officially become an Optician and is studying to take the American Board of Opticianry exam. While taking care of our clients upon entering the shop, she keeps Eye Promise Optical cheerful. You can find her doing a myriad of different tasks to support her team, but you can always be assured that she’s dedicated to making sure your visit to Eye Promise Optical goes as smoothly as possible. Kaitlin especially enjoys helping customers search for their perfect pair of eyeglasses.

On her down time, she enjoys extreme activities (obstacle mud courses, bungee jumping, and skydiving). She loves spending time with family and friends, playing video and board games with her boyfriend and is an avid collector of many things.

 

ESIA | Optical Administrator

Esia came to us as an experienced Opthalmic Technician. While we don’t have a doctor on staff, Esia believes in accessibility and personalized customer service for all. Hungry for furthering her education, Esia aspires to become an Optician as she has a knack for introducing our patients to vintage and other funky styles. She even manages our Etsy shop full of authentic vintage frames!

Esia is proud to have a large motley family and her husband and dog are her life. She’s into reading books, sniffing any and all flowers, spending time on the river and getting creative and messy at all costs. When you visit us, you’ll likely witness Esia being silly and will make you laugh on more than one occasion.
